Method

Savoury Tong Yuen:

Step 1 of 4

Prepare your ingredients by cutting the cabbage into broad strips, slicing the dried squid, and finely chopping the garlic cloves.

Step 2 of 4

Heat cooking oil in a pot, sauté garlic, dried squid, and dried shrimp. Then, add chicken and stir-fry for 2 minutes.

Step 3 of 4

Add clear chicken broth and water into the same pot and bring it to a rolling boil for 3 minutes. Let it simmer for 20 minutes with the lid on.

Step 4 of 4

Add tong yuen and let it boil until it floats. Season with salt and white pepper to your liking.

 
 
Sweet Tong Yuen:

Step 1 of 4

Boil a medium-sized pot of water and cook tong yuen until they float.

Step 2 of 4

While waiting, put peanuts into a blender and crush till it’s semi-coarse.

Step 3 of 4

On a plate, combine the crushed peanuts with Lakanto sweetener and sesame seeds.

Step 4 of 4

Fish out the tong yuen and coat them in the peanut mixture until each one is fully covered.

6) 28g Dried Shrimp
7) 1pc Dried Squid
8) 1/4 Kampung Chicken
9) Salt & White Pepper to taste
10) Chopped Scallion (for garnish)
