Method
Step 1 of 8
Cut the sweet potatoes into cubes and steam them until soft.
Step 2 of 8
Mash the steamed sweet potatoes and add salt and flour.
Step 3 of 8
Mix well and knead till a soft dough forms. Divide it into equal parts and roll it into small balls.
Step 4 of 8
Puncture a small hole in each dough ball to form doughnuts.
Step 5 of 8
Heat a pot of oil over medium heat.
Step 6 of 8
Fry your doughnuts till they turn golden brown. Once done, set aside on paper towel to drain the excess oil.

To prepare the sugar syrup, bring the sugar and water to a boil.
Step 8 of 8
Coat your doughnuts in the warm syrup. Set aside to cool.

1) 700g Sweet Potatoes
2) 200g All-Purpose Flour
3) 1 tsp Salt
4) 1 tbsp Tapioca Flour
5) Oil for deep frying
Sugar Syrup
1) 100g Castor Sugar
2) 3 tbsp Water
